You should only make wines you love to drink...

We honor our labrador retrievers with our Blackpaw wines.

Our 2017 Blackpaw Petite Sirah comes from Windsor Oak's Vineyard located in the Chalk Hill AVA (part of the larger, Russian River AVA) in Sonoma County. Chalk Hill is named for it's unique white ash volcanic soil. While the Russian River AVA is known for its cooler climate, this area is several degrees warmer.

Dark purple in the glass, the nose is full of dark black fruit along with earth and spice. The mouth is round with lush blackberry, boysenberry, hints of cinnamon and refined tannins. Our petite sirah style is more refined so you won't have to wait 10-15 years to open a bottle. Great with grilled meats and veggies.
