You should only make wines you love to drink...
Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon
2017 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon
From the heart of the Rutherford Bench, this historic vineyard is planted exclusively to cabernet sauvignon and produces some of Napa Valley's most cherished wines.
91 points - Connoisseur's Guide To California Wine
"Keyed largely on fresh loam and woodsy spice with a background suggestion of espresso on first nosing but very quickly turning to deep, very solidly varietal black currant fruit, this big, broad-shouldered, sturdily built cabernet is an immensely flavorful example with extract and stuffing to spare. It is not overdone or in any way derailed by overly obvious ripeness nor do its ample tannins occlude its amazingly persistent fruit, and we suspect that even those whose tastes run to wines that are more scaled-back in richness will see their reservations go by the wayside when this one is poured as a partner to a generous cut of well-marbled prime rib roast."
Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Malbec (Melrose Vineyard/Rutherford).
This wine is a true bargain to it's peer group and one you will certainly want to add to your cellars. Five years from now you'll be wishing you had purchased more.
