You should only make wines you love to drink...

bottle of Yates Cabernet Sauvignon from Mt. Veeder

Yates Family Vineyard is located at the end of Redwood Road in the western Mayacamus Mountains. The vineyard is small - only about 35 acres - and planted primarily to cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot. The elevation is over 1,100 feet and steeply sloping.  We have produced a cabernet sauvignon wine from this vineyard since 2014.

Our 2018 Yates Family Vineyard Cabernet offers aromas of  blueberries and blackberries with hints of floral notes, spice and earthiness. The mouth expresses blue and black fruit, a full body, with firm tannins and fresh acidity. Structured and finely crafted.  More old world in style than our other cabernet wines - this wine is simply delicious with veal or lamb - or anything with truffles!
